EU Employers Who Give Jobs to Illegals May Face Imprisonment
I remember I saw on TV pictures of an illegal Polish workers found dead in Itay in 2005. The scenes were discusting disgusting for a well-developed country I asked myself why those Polls went there? There are many stories like this one, some of them untold. We must admit that the Immigration is a tough issue for Europe that changes the European societies. Since I’ve seen the story above I used to pay more attention on immigration issues.
I’ve read today that the Commission in Brussels consideres legislative measures which plan to impose huge fines and imprisonment for employers who give jobs to illegal immigrants in the European Union.
Farming, building and catering are the sectors where the most illiagls find jobs. The EU commissioneer Mr. Frattini said that EU want to prevent so employers can exploite unlawful workers and fight the people trafficking.
Sorry but this looks like a pretty marxist message to me. It is obvious that the illigal immigration must be fight but not by unreasonable means. And I agree with the fines! But criminalizing the illigal employment is unnatural. Should someone be send in jail only because they gave a job to someone?
It is socially responsible anyone to hunt for job even they dont have a legal work permit. Employers break the law when they provide jobs to illegals. They benefit from paying less but at this time they also take risk in favour of someone who is looking for job. So I really think that the goverment is responsible to enforce strict rules agains illegal residence but not to send people in prison for this.
