Bulgarian UDF Stands For Reforms In Europe

The Union of Demoratic Forces (originally SDS) has joined the Movement for European Reform and supportted the ideas of the UK Conservative party and Czech Civic Democratic Party.

Of course UDF is determined to best server the Bulgarian national priorites and that’s why we have some differencies which consern the European constitution, CPA, and we do not join a movement to leave the EPP. But the party strongly supports the ideas of more open and flexible union. We don’t appreciate untransparent, intricate, and mammoth institutions because we know that those failed to produce success in our own country.

UDF is present its priorities in EU on March 25. Tax competition, low excises, open markets, Europe of nation states and a strong Atlantic relationship are among them.

We’re facing growing support for our top priorities in our own country and even we’re in the middle of an Election campaign (and probably because of this) we believe that we will succeed to make them the main agenda of the political debate.
