That’s Why Republicans Are Great Party

Mit Roomney has probably made the best move in its long run for a Republican presidential nominee. His withdrawal from campaign has showed him as a team player. His exit from the presidential race has put him on the front-pages of most major newspapers nationwide. His face also led all newscasts.

“Now, to all of you, thank you, here, for caring enough about America to show up, to speak up, to stand up for conservative principles”, said Mr. Romney in its withdrawal speech. He lent his campaign at least $35 million of his own money.

It is clear that Romney decided to suspend his campaign because he was far behing McCain after “Super Thuesday”. But he would stay if he thought much of himself and less of his party. Have you seen the title “This place is vacant” in TIME magazine which refered to the logo of the Republicans. The atrticle suggested there’s no elephant among conservative candidates. Yesterday Romney proved the this is wrong view.

The party however has a strong team spirit and it can stand firm behind any candidate to make im to win. Romney was almost the best one. The thing he didn’t have is enough experience. But he is young enough to run again, even if McCains would serve 2 term in office. But let’s get back to his moment! Look what did he say?

romney.jpg“Conservative principles are needed now more than ever. We face a new generation of challenges: challenges which threaten our prosperity, our security and our future. I’m convinced that unless America changes course, we could become the France of the 21st century… still a great nation, but not the leader of the world, not the superpower. And to me that’s unthinkable”.

History can make any prediction to come true but I don’t think America will face the fate of France. At least not in this century.

Anyway, what Mr. Romney did is to give a good answer of the question “Why do the Republican party have credibility to run the America?”. Because this party is a great one!

Who’s Gonna Win - Experienced or Passionate?

Today’s first results was good for Mike Huckabee who won all delegates in West Virginia. I like the social conservatism of Mike Huckabee even some people say hes is a little bit populist candidate. He’s showed a good example of how a politician could campaign without huge financial support and to send… let’s say “healthful conservative messages” to audience.

mike_huckabee.jpgMr. Huckabee is a charismatic politician with good sence of humor. “If you decided not to vote for me, just stay home and do what you like to do and don’t bother to go to the polls”, said he tonight jokingly to CNN’s viewers.

Mike won all 18 delegates in West Virginia. It is interesting that John McCain’s supporters in this state decided to go for Huckabee and to block Mitt Romney to win. Huckabee defeated Romny by 52% to 48% and now has 47 delegates in the Republican national convention. Before the results from other states to come out today MacCain has 111 delegates followed by Mitt Romney with 94.

According to polling agencies, most people who like Mike Huckabee say that he “shares their values”. The answer is the same for Mitt Romney. Asked about John McCain, his supporters say they like him because of his experience.

Romney, who has the biggest budget among Republican candidates needs to win in key states such as Massachusetts, Georgia and Missouri if he wants to stay in the race.

On the Democratic Side

Look what do people say about their favorite democratic candidate. 74% of Obama’s supporters say that “Change” is the keyword for their support for him. Many of them say that he “Cares about people”. At the same time only 3% say that he has enough experience.

When it comes to Hillary Clinton, most of her supporters say she has significant experience, and 29% say she would bring “Change” in American political life. 15% say she cares about people and this is significantly less than Obamas number.

Obama’s possible nomination requires him to win in Georgia, Alabama, Missouri and of course in California.

Georgia Results: Obama and McCain Win

Georgia is a crusial state for both Republicans and Democrats. Barack Obama won there according the exit polls. He got 55% of the vote and 12 delegates, while Hillary Clinton received only 40% of cated votes and 5 delegates in the national convention.

On Republican side Georgia is a “3 man race” state. It is not possible to say whether McCain, Huckabee or Romney wins there! At this time McCain has 34% of the vote, Huckabee - 31% and Mitt Romney - 31%.

Georgia sends 103 delegates to Democratic convention and 72 to Republican one.

Take a look at the numbers. 88% of African-American democratic voters in Georgia voted for Obama and only 11% for Hillary Clinton.

57% of white Democrats supported Clinton and 39% Obama. Candidates split the vote of the white men. Clinton got 49%, Obama 46%. White women voted 62% for Clinton and 49% for Barack Obama.

77% of the young voters between 18 and 29 years of age suported Obama.

Other states

Mitt Romney wins in his home state - Massachusetts, while McCain gets important wins in Illinois, New Jersey, Delaware and Connecticut. Mike Huckabee wins in Arkanzas and Georgia.

On Democratic side Obama wins in home state Illinois and Alabama, while Hillary Clinton got New Jersey, Arkanzas, Tennessee and Oklahoma.

Stay with me and “The Conservative Move” tonight as well as during the whole election campaign. If you are desperate to get some predictions who’s going to win the nominations on both sides I would say MacCain and Hillary Clinton. Why? Because the most important keyword is “experience”.
